Open Innovations Startup Tour, the largest road show in the CIS countries in search of innovation projects, starts in Barnaul for the very first time on 16-17 March.
The event is sponsored by the Innovation Support Association, co-founded by Enterra.
This year the Startup Tour, organized by Skolkovo Foundation, held for the fifth time in 14 cities of Russia and neighboring countries. Barnaul received the right to host the Startup Tour due to online voting, arranged on the Open Innovations website. The city scored 439 votes and took the eighth place out of 208 applicants.
For two days in Altai State Technical University, the experts of Skolkovo Foundation and other successful Russian entrepreneurs will teach their younger colleagues to build a high-tech business.
On workshops experts will explain, how to generate ideas for the effective startups, how to start properly, where to get money for the development, how to get a patent and etc.
Knowledge gained will be immediately tested in practice. For example, during the interactive game, they will learn, how to communicate with officials, examine real cases and decide, what will be the right step in different situations.
Test their business ideas and get feedback from mentors and coaches participants can at the special mentoring session that will last the entire first day. It will be available absolutely for everyone, regardless of whether the project takes part in the competitive program or not.
Lovers to ask tricky questions will like a trolling session.
However, the Startup Tour is, above all, perspective innovation projects competition. Local young entrepreneurs will introduce their projects in three tracks: industrial, biomedical, IT-track.
In IT-track, the semifinal of the competition reached 10 high-tech startups. In total, 201 projects from the Altai Territory registered on the Open Innovations website.
The winners will receive special gifts from partners and sponsors, participate in the accelerated GenerationS programs, and, whatâ€™s most important, an invitation to Startup Village, the largest startup conference for technological entrepreneurs in Russia and the CIS countries, without preselection.
