Alpha version of renewed Enterra GIS is now tested

Enterra GIS developed on .NET technology has more features

The system has been developed using the latest and up-to-date technologies. SQL CE data base is used as a data storage. Data is filled in by conversion shapefile objects into special structures at the stage of preliminary map preparation. It enables to have rather composite object samples.

Renewed Enterra GIS has stunning and bright graphics that was reached by using WPF .Net Framework 3.5 This subsystem gives more opportunities than GDI and GDI+. Due to WPF .Net Framework 3.5 and ESRI Shapefile data format we have reached the display of compound graphic object with up to 1,000,000 points in one file. Object drawing is realized through conversion them to the commands of graphics card. Map scaling and map scrolling are realized with acceptable speed.

Besides, WPF has a list of useful functions such as HitTest, visual effects, various transformations, etc. which help to reach additional interaction with users. Renewed Enterra GIS also got features of track setting with overall and point-to-point distance calculation.
