A Global Perspective of Content Management - Application & Development.
Tuesday, Feburary 3, 2004.Clearwater, FL, USA
On Tuesday, February 3rd, Mr. Dmitry Starostenkov Ph.D. of Enterra, Inc. presented a global outlook on content management to AIIM Florida Chapter Members and guests in the monthly meeting held at Tech Data Corporation.
Highlighted was the universal need to corral the ever increasing information overload, organize it and make it accessible in a format which the end user defines. Data silos are not enough this repository must compensate for multi-language requirements as well as the sophistication and permissions of the end user.
In his final comments, Mr. Starostenkov stated that, "It is not just enough to capture information or scan a document; to be successful systems must unite a host of capabilities.
Content management systems for the global marketplace must concentrate on the most important issue - delivering the content."
